About Me

Hello! My name is Mr. Phillips and I'm the music teacher at Learning Way.  I've been teaching at Learning Way since 2009 and before that I taught music at Thomas.  After graduating High School in Carthage, Tennessee, I attended college at Tennessee Tech (B.S. & Ed.S.), MTSU (Masters), and Belmont University (K-12 Music Endorsement)

 

I live in Shelbyville with my family.  I am married and have 2 daughters, Keely and Gelsey, and a pet dog, Nina.

 

I enjoy playing the saxophone, piano and other instruments, listening to music, and spending time with my family.
