School Counseling Program

Vision

The vision of the Learning Way Elementary school counseling program is to see all our students graduate college and career ready. Our students will help reinforce positive and nurturing environments by interacting with respect and empathy to others at home, school, and future work. Our students will improve the community by actively serving in it based on the knowledge and skills they have acquired in school to provide for the relevant needs of it.

Mission

The mission of the school counseling program is to provide an environment that enables students to reach their maximum potential as a citizen by teaching them to be responsible, respectful, and ready. In partnership with administration, teachers, family, and other stakeholders, the school counseling program will serve the individual needs of students to ensure students experience safety both internally and externally by providing developmentally appropriate interventions and advocacy guided by the academic, personal/social, and career domains.

Core Beliefs

* School is a positive and nurturing environment for students, family, staff, and faculty.

* All students can thrive in school by participating in developmentally appropriate interventions.

* Stakeholders play an integral role in ensuring strategic and relevant measures are in place for all students.

* Interventions are data driven and research based.
