𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. Over the next 2 weeks Apex will take students on a quest in search of the key to becoming great leaders and learn some important habits along the way. We’ll highlight a different leadership habit each day so families can continue the conversation at home.
▶ Our first Apex leadership habit is 𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗘 It’s awesome to have big dreams and big goals – it helps us to strive for greatness. And when we aspire for greatness, we also inspire those around us to do the same!
🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Ask your child about a big dream or big goal they have and how they’re striving to make it happen? Help them make a dream/vision board (a collage of images, pics and affirmations) of their goal(s) to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation!
Self Starter
▶ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 Self-starters set out to accomplish things without being told to do it. They give themselves a little “spark” to get pumped up and motived to take on each and every day!
🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Help your child make a list of the things they can accomplish each morning to get ready to take on each day without having to be reminded to get it done!
Own It
▶ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: 𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗜𝗧 There are two parts to “owning it” – First, we step up and embrace responsibility. The second part is being accountable for our actions, successes, and mistakes. No matter the moment, JUST OWN IT!
🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Discuss a scenario with your child when you had to be accountable for your actions and how you felt when you “owned it”. Ask your child to give you examples of what it means to them to “own it”.
New Day
𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗗𝗔𝗬
Every day is a gift! It’s full of opportunities to meet someone new, to make a positive impact on a loved one, learn a new skill, or take another step towards your goals. It’s also a chance to start over we can move on from a mistake, or change a bad habit. Make the most of every new day!

🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Commit to learn something completely new with your child! Maybe hair braiding? A new soccer skill? A second language? Show your dedication, overcome frustrations, and feel a sense of accomplishment, together!
Energize⭐🎉 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆! Our Apex FUN RUN event is just around the corner September 28th 🎉⭐

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗜𝗭𝗘
Great leaders energize others through positive words and actions! You can make the greatest difference in someone’s day with just a smile, holding a door, or offering a few words of encouragement that’s the power of today’s habit.

🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: Help your child think of 5 people they can energize and discuss the ways (words and actions) they can carry it out.
As one 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 #𝗔𝗽𝗲𝘅 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀: 𝗔𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘 2 weeks ago, we set out on a quest in search of the key to become great leaders, and we solved the mystery. The first letter from each of the daily habits spells out “AS ONE’: Aspire, Self-starter, Own it, New day, Energize that’s the key to becoming a great leader! We can become great leaders in our own right, but if we work together “AS ONE” then we can change the world in a big way!

🗣 𝗔𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿: The Apex leadership lessons finished today and you found the key to becoming a great leader. Awesome job! How can you apply what you’ve learned, at home and school, to keep being a great leader all year long?
