✨ Continuing the Work. Strengthening Student Support.❤️

Interventionists from across #BedfordCountySchools recently gathered for a meaningful session that marked their final meeting with Mrs. Susan Huff, who is retiring at the end of September, and the beginning of a transition as Dr. Sandra Powell prepares to continue leading this important work.

Throughout their time together, our Interventionists have worked to strengthen supports for students across BCS, sharing ideas, collaborating and focusing on strategies that help #students grow and succeed. 📚🌟

As this work transitions, the commitment to supporting #student learning continues. BCS appreciates Mrs. Huff for the time, #leadership and collaboration shared with Interventionists and looks forward to the continued work under the leadership of Dr. Powell.🫶

📢 For SACP Families

If you use Bedford County Schools’ School Age Care Program (SACP) for childcare, we want to let you know that SACP rates will increase beginning October 19.

We understand that any tuition increase affects families, and this was carefully considered. The cost of operating SACP has increased, including staff pay, food and snacks, supplies, transportation, field trips, and equipment. The updated rates will help us continue providing safe, dependable care from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. before and after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer - without reducing services or eliminating full-day care.

Families will continue to be charged only for the days their child attends.

📋 See the new tuition rates in this post’s graphics or visit online:
https://www.bedfordk12tn.com/page/sacp-tuition-information.

💙 Need payment assistance? We can help you apply online for childcare payment assistance through the Tennessee Department of Human Services:
https://www.tn.gov/humanservices/for-families/child-care-services/child-care-payment-assistance.html.

Thank you for your understanding and for trusting SACP to care for your children! We are grateful to serve Bedford County families.

🌟 Supporting Teachers From Day One! 🌟

Becoming a new teacher is an exciting journey, and having the right support along the way can make all the difference. #BedfordCountySchools recently welcomed its new teacher cohort for another opportunity to learn, connect and grow as educators. 🍎📚

The session was led by District Instructional Coach Kristie Caldwell, with Social & Emotional Learning & Mental Health Supervisor Lindsay Wiley, also presenting to the group.

Ongoing opportunities like these reflect BCS’s commitment to supporting new teachers as they build their skills, confidence and connections throughout their first years in the classroom. 💛✨
