Recently, an ESL Parent Conference was held at #CommunityElementarySchool, bringing families together to learn more about their children’s ELPA21 scores and discover ways to support continued English language growth.🌟
Families received helpful resources to take home, including practice sentences, learning materials and information about upcoming opportunities for parents and #students. 📖📝
Most importantly, the event highlighted the power of family involvement. We are grateful to the ESL parents who took the time to attend, learn, ask questions and play an active role in their children’s education. Their support makes a meaningful difference! 💙

🏫💬 Another Town Hall, Another Opportunity to Listen & Look Ahead💬 🏫
Recently, families and community members gathered at #CascadeHighSchool for another Town Hall with Superintendent Tim Harwell. The evening provided an opportunity to hear more about his vision for #BedfordCountySchools and to ask questions about the experiences and opportunities available to students.
📚 Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including early identification and support for dyslexia, intervention services, high school supports, student transportation and bus schedules, school safety, CTE opportunities and leadership continuity.
Community members also shared questions and ideas surrounding technology, school partnerships and additional opportunities that could support students.
These conversations are an important part of looking at what is working, identifying opportunities for growth and continuing to put the needs of #students and families at the forefront.

Just a reminder that parents/guardians are welcome to eat lunch with their student on Fridays during their student’s regularly scheduled lunch time!
📅 Our first Friday lunch will be September 11th, after Horse Show Break.
A few important reminders:
🪪 Photo ID is required to enter the building.
📋 The adult requesting to eat lunch must be listed in our Synergy system.
🍔 No outside food may be brought into the school.
We love having our families visit and share a special lunch with their Little Eagles! 💙💛

Hosted by the Middle Tennessee State University WAI Air Raiders Chapter, this FREE community event gives #students and families the opportunity to explore aircraft, meet inspiring women in aviation, learn about exciting career opportunities and experience the world of aviation up close. 🛩️

As we settle into the school year, we want to send a quick reminder about our **car rider procedures and expectations**. These procedures help us keep our students safe and make arrival and dismissal run as smoothly as possible.
**Morning Arrival 🚗**
* Car drop-off begins at **7:05 AM** and ends at **7:25 AM**. After 7:25, students must be taken to the front office.
* Parents must remain in the car rider line. Please do not park and walk your child inside.
* Have backpacks, belongings, hugs, notes, etc. ready **before it is your turn to unload**.
* Students should only exit when all vehicles have stopped.
* Please do not allow students to exit if you are not one of the **first 8 vehicles** in your line.
* Students should walk on the **yellow crosswalk** and never walk between vehicles.
**Afternoon Dismissal 🚌🚗**
* Dismissal is from **2:25–2:40 PM**. After 2:40, students must be picked up through the front office.
* Your **car tag must be visible** to pick up your child. If you do not have your assigned car tag, you will need to go to the front office and show your ID. (Car tags will be handed out next week and expected in cars the day after horse show break.)
* Students will walk to their cars only after all vehicles have stopped.
* Vehicles must remain stopped until all students are safely inside.
* If your child needs help buckling, please pull into a parking space after your child gets into the vehicle.

* Please observe the speed limit.
* **No cellphones while driving.**
* Students must be properly buckled before leaving school.
* Please watch and follow the directions of our staff members directing traffic.
* Do not stop on the yellow crosswalk.
