📢Important Update for Families About Skyward📢

#BedfordCountySchools is replacing Skyward and transitioning to a new student information system that provides parents and caregivers with a more user-friendly, modern and updated way to track their student's progress.

At this time, Skyward is CLOSED due to end-of-year maintenance and the process of transitioning to the new system.

We understand families rely on access to student information, and we appreciate your patience during this transition. While we do not have an exact timeline yet, the new system is expected to be available in August.

We will continue to keep families informed and share updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work to provide an improved experience for our families!

🌉🚗 Building Bridges, Building Ideas! 🚗🌉

Ms. Willingham’s rising 2nd graders at #LearningWayElementary's Summer Learning Camp are learning about community heroes, including builders and engineers.

#Students designed and constructed bridges strong enough to hold toy cars for the small towns they created. Through planning, building and testing, they explored how engineers solve real-world problems and help connect communities.

These hands-on experiences encourage creativity, problem-solving and collaboration as students think and work like real engineers. ✨🏗️

🦝🍎Healthy Learning in Action! 🍽️

Mrs. Pope's rising 5th graders in #LearningWayElementarySchool's Summer Learning Camp have enjoyed learning from Yesenia Lira- Garcia with UT Extension through the Making Tracks with Ruddy Raccoon program.

Throughout Summer Learning Camp, #students explored a variety of nutrition topics and learned how healthy choices can support overall wellness. Each visit featured a different lesson, and students had the opportunity to prepare and enjoy recipes connected to what they were learning. 🍓🥕👩‍🍳

These hands-on experiences helped students build nutrition knowledge while making learning both fun and delicious! ✨

A special #ThankYou to Yesenia Lira- Garcia and the UT Extension for sharing time, expertise and enthusiasm with Summer Learning Camp students. 🌟

🏗️📏 Building Big Ideas! 📏🏗️

Dr. Williams-Bey rising 4th graders at #LearningWayElementarySchool's Summer Learning Camp recently put their engineering skills to the test with an Index Card Tower Challenge!

As #students learned about community heroes such as builders and engineers, they experimented with designing and constructing towers using only index cards. They then tested the stability of their creations to see which designs could stand the strongest.

Through hands-on problem-solving and teamwork, students explored engineering concepts while discovering the important role builders and engineers play in shaping our communities. ✨🔨
