This week, Mrs. Bradshaw's class is learning all about plants! Students explored the different parts of a plant — roots, stem, leaves, buds, flowers, and seeds — and discovered the special job each part has in helping the plant grow. 💚
Associates from Pinnacle Financial Partners’ Shelbyville, TN branch recently visited #LearningWayElementarySchool’s LEAPs extended learning program for the first time! #Students learned all about financial literacy—including wants vs. needs and the importance of saving money.
Each #student even received a pumpkin piggy bank to take home and start their own savings journey. 🐷🍂

Honoring Ed Gray - a Legacy of Learning and Leadership
Today, we remember and honor the life of Mr. Ed Gray, a remarkable educator and leader who dedicated more than 45 years to education, including Bedford County Schools. From teacher to principal, supervisor, assistant superintendent, and finally superintendent, he devoted his entire career to nurturing students, supporting educators and strengthening our community.
Education wasn’t just his profession — it was his passion and life’s calling. His commitment to excellence, compassion for others, and vision for the future of our schools left an enduring mark on countless lives. Though he retired in 2011, his influence continues to be felt by many because of his leadership.
Rest in peace, Mr. Gray, and thank you for your lifetime of service and dedication.

Thanks to the success of last May’s Connected Community 5K, the Shelbyville-Bedford Community Foundation has awarded $20,500 to fund 18 amazing classroom projects across 9 of our schools!
