🕊️ We Remember. We Honor. We Never Forget.

On September 11, 2001, our nation was changed forever. Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who stepped forward and recognize the resilience that followed.

May we never forget the sacrifices made, the courage shown and the strength that carried our nation forward.

🩺✂️ Paging All Doctors of Multiplication!✖️🟰

Third grade mathematicians in Ms. Danielle Presley's class at #LearningWayElementarySchool, recently put their “surgical skills” to work as Doctors of Multiplication Properties! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

#Students practiced using the distributive property of multiplication to break apart larger arrays, or “patients,” into two smaller arrays to find the product.

At four hands-on stations, students used playdough, green tiles, marshmallows, scissors and paper to build their arrays and then “surgically” break them apart. 🧮🔬

This hands-on approach helped students see the distributive property in action while building a deeper understanding of multiplication! ⭐

Our 2nd graders have been diving into the magical world of fairy tales and tall tales, and earlier this week they put all of their learning together for a fun-filled cumulative task day! 🏰🌟

Students enjoyed themed snacks, watched tall tales, created their very own fairy tale and tall tale creations, and brought stories to life through an exciting reader’s theater! 🎭📖

It was a day full of creativity, laughter, storytelling, and learning! We are so proud of our little authors, illustrators, and performers! 💙💛
