International Dot Day

What
International Dot Day
When
9/15/2021

International Dot Day is celebrated around the world. This fun day originates with Peter Reynolds’ children's book, The Dot. This book reminds us how important it is to encourage students to find different ways to solve problems and shares the message of how starting with something as simple as a dot can lead to endless creative possibilities.

Learning Way will celebrate by wearing dots to school on Wednesday, September 15th. These can be polka dots, pom poms, circles, stickers, or really any kind of dots. The class with the highest percentage of participation on the dress up day will win extra recess and other prizes.

In Art Class this week, we are working on several projects for our schoolwide Dot Day display that will be in the hallway.
