All About Me

I began my teaching career in 1999 teaching 2nd grade at Southside Elementary.  I taught there for 5 years.  Moving on to Thomas Intermediate School, I taught 4th grade there for 5 years.  Our schools all went to K-5 and I moved to Learning Way Elementary.  I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd here at LWE.  Some of those classes were looping classes.  I am now an Interventionist and teach all grade levels.  

 

I have been married for 34 years to a wonderful husband, Clark Bearden.  We have 3 amazing children.  Casey Curry, married to Shane Curry, has 3 beautiful children, Morgan, Kinzley, and Maverick.  She teaches Biology at Shelbyville Central High School.  Taylor Bearden also teaches Biology at Shelbyville Central High School.  Cannon Bearden is an electrical engineer for the base in Tullahoma.  We are very proud of them.

 

Our family loves anything involving water, kayaking, swimming, boating, beach.  We just love having fun together.

 

I am very excited about starting another year at Learning Way Elementary.  It is the best school!
