Mrs. Karen Posey
- Welcome to Learning Way Elementary. I am so excited you are here! My name is Karen Posey and I have had the privilege of being part of Learning Way Elementary School since 2009. Learning Way Eagles are the best!!!!!!! I look forward to continuing to have a positive impact on the children's growth and to new discoveries with an amazing team of teachers.
Education
- This year is my 28th year of teaching. I grew up here in Shelbyville, Tennessee. I went to Southside Elementary, Harris Middle, and then Central High School.
- I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1992, and a Master's Degree in Literacy in 1997.
- I taught 4th and 5th grade for 25 years.
- I have worked as a Title I Interventionist for three years with this amazing team: Mrs. Bearden, Mrs. Eaton, and Mrs. Marshall.
Hobbies
- My husband and I live here in Shelbyville.
- We enjoy traveling to new places and our favorite place, Charleston, S.C.
- I like to cook, read, decorate, and play with my puppy, Hazel.
